MY CAR'S HISTORY:

Numbers
Here is the cowl tag that shows that shows the car is a 1970 camaro with a V-8; original interior is saddle vinyl (TR727), exterior color classic copper (67), built in Norwood (NOR), build date 4th week of June (6D), and the engine is the 350 HP big block (L34).
The car's first owner had set it up to race in Trans-Am style races. He had spent multiple hours working on suspension and engine upgrades. He garaged the car the entire time he owned it. About thirteen years ago he was forced to sell the car but would not part with the factory motor. He had spent too much time on the car to completely give up his dream. He sold it to the man I bought it from minus the factory motor (I'm trying to reunite the two). The second owner spent a number of years working on the paint and installing a new motor. He set the car up for the strip. The car was again garaged only coming out a couple times of times a year to compete. My plans are to transform it into a formidable pro touring machine, keeping the best of its track and strip modifications-- while adding new paint, wheels, stereo, interior components and cleaning it up to make it show quality.

CAMARO PERFORMANCE HISTORY

The Camaro was always advertized as a high-performance machine, which it was. However, the top officials at GM placed a limit of 400ci on the production engines. Some companies like Motion Performance took factory Camaros and upped the ante with upgraded trannies, 454 BBs, and new rear-ends.
I like to think my car might have been produced by the factory if it was up to Bunkie and DeLorean instead of the out-of-touch guys upstairs.
