Sony XM - 75 eq amp
4 blaupunkt 3 1/2 in the headrests - run off Pioneer headunit
polk audio 6" with seperate tweeter built into stock tweeter location on top of doors
2 aura bass shakers installed one in the back of each seat
8" JL Sub in built into the passenger side tunnel, stealth in the trunk.

Re built the trunk, red neon around the amps.

VCR & TV for the monitor in the dashboard. The VCR runs off remote control, through a remote eye in the dash.

Amps under the grate, surrounded by red leather and red neon.

Installed three cyberdyne guages in the trunk to monitor amp temp and volts.

Behind the "wall" that leads to the tunnels by the gas tank is one JL 8" subwoofer, in a custom box. Along with a 1.0 Lightning Farad Cap.

This stereo has evolved over 3 years into what it is today. It all started with two 5.25 Bazooka tubes in the tunnels and a Sony XM55x2 amp, bass was minimal - Lame attempt #1. How huch bass can a 5.25 inch speaker make?

Then I tried 2 10" subs in the trunk. Sounded great in my driveway with the hard top on, but top down on the highway, all I heard was my Licence plate rattle. - Lame attempt #2

My buddy has a stealthbox in his, the best I had heard so far, but lost 70% of the bass on the highway. I heard this route and didnt attempt it in my car, plus it is real expensive.

Then I tried one JL 8" in a custom box in my trunk (which I still have in there), decent bass but all was lost at 80mph.

I was about to give up when I started reading about bass shakers, ordered two off ebay for $70.00, and wired them to the sony amp. I told some people what I was going to do and they practically laughed me out of town. Well I'm laughing now. This is the best car stereo I have heard in a convertable. If I didnt tell you about the bass shakers in the seats, you would think I had two 15"s and 600 watts. My car feels like it is pushing 140db, it vibrates the sunglasses on the end of my nose. Absolutely awsome. THIS IS THE BEST BASS SOLUTION FOR THE MIATA. Believe me I tried.
