This is my work in progress. It is a 67 Fairlane XL 390. It will soon have a 428CJ under the hood. I have a David Kee big in/out toploader for it. As you can see from the first pic, it looked like a pretty solid car to start with, which it was. However, as with all old cars the more you dig the more you find it needs. Donny Geiger, owner of State Line Customs in Kirkwood, NY is doing the body work. I can't say enough good things about Donny. We are doing this car right and it shows. I just got my sub frame connectors from Crites. It took a while to get them but they are worth the wait. I also just got the traction bars from Dearborn Classics. We are just about ready to paint the underside. I will post more pics soon. Some of the pics show the old quarters, we scrapped those and put two new ones on. We got them from Auto Krafters and they were worth the $$$.

Great looking Fairlane. Just wondering where you got the cradle for the car so you can work underneath? Keep up the great work on it!

Dan, Tara,

Fantastic!! I only wish that I had the expertise and $$$ to do what you guys are doing with your Fairlane. Yours is the first full resto in progress I have ever seen. Keep us posted on the progress.

Beautiful work. I have a 66 that is in pretty bad shape, but I guess I am going to tear it down and redo it. I have been looking for another good body to start with, but have been unsuccessful. I see you are in johnson city. I live in dushore, which is about an hour below you on route 220. Any help finding a decent 66-67 body for a decent price, would be appreciated. Like I said, mine is rough, and is going to require alot of work.check out my page. I am currently doing my 82 capri over, and once that is done, then in goes the 66. let me know if you know of any up that way.also looking for a 48-53 f1/f100 in restoreable shape.
