well i personally didnt paint it, my friend did, but he didnt use primer the first time and im not sure what exactly happened but it jus started chipping ridiculously... so i took it to a body shop and they did it professionaly.... sorry i cant really help there man

for prep i sanded it with 220 grit 500 then 1000 then 2000 primed it( i used a dupli color sand able primer) and sanded with 1000 then 2000. Which made it super smooth then wiped it down with a beeswax cloth and then used a paint prep solvent let it dry then painted it
