This is my 1979 Chrysler Cordoba Resto-Rod. I have been working on it for about four years, but it had been in my family since it was new. I Have done many things to my Doba since I started wirking on it.  A Pair of Hooker Headers with and X-pipe, and Dynomax mufflers. I had to put a floor shifter in at the same time, because the original shift linkage wouldnt clear the new pipes. I went with a Hurst V-matic II shifter. I also had the sides of the car re-done. New quarters, rockers, fender, rear bumber, and quite a few other mods. The top is still all original, paint, vinyl top and all.

Here's some picts of my car

The winter of 07-08 i put a Chrysler 8 3/4 sure grip rearend with a 3.23 gear in it. I tossed the old leafs and shcks, and got some new Husky springs with an additional leaf, and some nice KYB gas-a-just shocks. New swaybar and bushings.

I accomplished overhauling the top of the engine, along with converting the lean burn ignition system to electronic ignition.I put an Edlebrock Air Gap intake manifold, with a Holley 750 and a K&N air cleaner.

Nice!!

The summer of 2008 i re-did the front suspension of my car. I bought a front polygraphite kit wich included ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, lower controll arm bushings, and upper A arm bushings. I also had to buy a few other things extra. i coated everything with POR 15 before reassembly.

I tore it down, and found it had a cracked head and a bad head gasket. Didnt want to put any money into the old POS, so i put some JB weld on the crack, and some silicone on the gasket and drove it to the jundyard. Made it all the way out there even after i blew it up!

Looks good. Like you I put a 8 3/4 under the rear, but I have 4.10 gears. I've never run the quarter, but my best in the 8th is 9.6@72mph. I'm working on improving the fuel injection on it so I can run better times.
