Update January 2008,
WANTED 1991-1992 Z28 or RS AUTO TPI IS CHOICE BUT SHOW ME WHAT YOU HAVE.
Well after the mildly built 700r4 decided to start slipping after two wild years of racing im going to replace it this year, I've also planned on scraping the old Lt1 Converted Intake and go to the Tpis Miniram just to go with a new direction in this project. Look for higher stall, more tuning, and a whole new body to swap my works into since last year the skys opened up and dropped golf ball sized hail on my pride and joy for about an hour. Sounded like hammers hitting the roof and sure as hell looks like a ball peen was the choice.

The Z's alive again! Much more top end power cant wait for a dyno tune to work the bugs out! Still needs a few more finishing touches.

Update: Aug 2nd 2006,
I went to Hi-Tech Motorsports out in Ramsey, Mn and put my car up on the dyno and got it tuned. My car didnt put up the huge numbers like I was hoping for but made great power for a mild 383 with a mild 700r4. With the 330rwhp @ 5400rpms and 360rwtq @ 4000rpms and over 300rwtq from 2200rpms all the way up to 5500rpms where it starts to drop I am very pleased with how she moves!
Thanks for taking the time to check out my ride its been a HUGE money pit lol but i've had a lot of fun in this car and plan to keep it the rest of my life! I bought this car in April of 2005 for $3,000 with a slushbox for a tranny, bald ass tires, in desparate need of a tune up, messed up passenger side seat belt, frozen front calipers and needed new brake lines, NO C-CLIPS to hold the axels on with a junk posi, both speedo and odometer didnt work correctly, the exhaust had a huge hole in it, and it was missing intieror trim panels! It wasnt all bad though it had leather seats, 4 wheel disk brakes, 16" alloy wheels, and a 350 TPI.
My 91 Z28:
A Numbers Matching Hot Tanked Stock L98 2 bolt block with ARP Main Studs thats been bored .030 over and clearanced for the new Forged Eagle Stroker Kit. The cast steel Eagle 3.75" stroke crank spins the Forged and shot peened 5140 steel 5.7" I-beam rods attached to the Forged 4032 Aluminum JE/SRP dished pistons with -16 cc reliefs. The blocks topped with 200cc Dart Platinum Iron Eagle cast heads with 2.02 and 1.60 Stainless steel valves, The heads are covered by Black Proform Tall baffeled valve covers which hide the Comp Cams guide plates, 1.5 Cnc-Motorsports Roller Rockers that are pushing down the Comp Cams 987 springs good to .620 lift and the pushrods are Trickflow .080 Hardend Chromoly 7.250. The Hydraulic Roller Lifters are rideing on the new Comp Cams Xtreme Fuel Injected Camshaft that specs out at 280/288 with duration at .050 230/236 with the lift at .541/.537 on a 113* LSA. Sucking air into those Dart heads is a 48mm Stock Throttle Body thats bolted to a Ported and Converted LT1 Intake with FMS Blue Top 24# Injectors, An Accel AFPR and pushing the fuel through the system is a Walbro 255 in-tank pump.
The Custom PROM was tuned by Brian At Hi-Tech Motorsports which netted me 20rwhp and 40rwtrq over the custom "tune" by PCMFORLESS. (dont use them mail order tunes suck)
The Accel Shorty Header plugs are fired by the MSD capped and rotored stock L98 distributer through the MSD Superconductor 8.5mm wires. With the 9.12:1 compression my choice of 92 octane is going to be overkill.
The motor is pushing all the gasses out through the Hedman long tube 1 5/8s primarys into their 3" collectors and through the catless 3" y-pipe and out the 3" American Thunder Flowmaster Cat-back with Dual Stainless 3" Tips.
The Power is put to the ground through the Built 700r4 with its ~2200 stall converter, corvette servo, and Trans Go shift kit. The 3.42 rear gears are bolted to a SLP Zexel Torsion All Gear Driven Posi and to the 255-50r-16 BFG G-Force T/A Drag Radials.
The Smog/AIR has been deleted along with the EGR and the A/C. I have a great condition a/c delete heater box thats cleaned up the engine bay quite nicely.
I did all of my own painting on the block, heads, distributer cap, oil pan, oil pan hold downs, and the accessory brakets. Most of the work done was by me and my buddies but the machine work had been done by R & R performance in Fridley Mn.
I wanna thank Chris (grandmagold), Travis (quick96z), Adam, and of course Jake who pushed me through the whole build lol.
