This is my 1974 BMW 2002...

TMK-001's 1974 BMW 2002

It is a work in progress.

This was my first car. I got it in 2002.

The car is currently off the road being restored with all new OEM body panels, removal of all rust, new 45DCOE single side draught on a Lynx manifold, E21 Recaro buckets to be re trimmed in black.

Check back soon for more news.

Here is a Photoshop of way I would like to make the car:

TMK-001's 1974 BMW 2002

It is getting the lower trim removed, and I will hopefully get some Alpina 15" rims for it in 15x7 size.

Other external changes will be the later model side mirror. All new window rubbers, etc.

Hopefully it will be back from the paint shop ASAP then over to the auto trimmers.

EDIT - 5th September 2006...
Keep checking back! It has been a long drawn out process with my painter, but hopefully it will be back soon. I have purchased a MASSIVE Brake kit from Canada and I have a few other bits coming as well.

Likewise. Great car you have. I have looked at your 02 before. How is the project coming along? Any more photos? I am not sure about fitting 15x7 though. It might be a problem with that size. Worth a try but check before you spend. There are some on ebay now for USD500. I have two sets of Alpina style wheels in storage but went for the Oz made Performance Super Lites in 14". I think it is a nice period looking wheel. Have a look at my second 02 I picked up recently. It is on CarDomain under member name "Alpinatii". I have bought a new Weber, performance intake manifold and some Recaros for it - yet to be installed,
