I've tried mail-order PCM tuning, it doesn't matter who's. After swapping the PCM out 3x times I was not satisfied, I had problems from the start with poor shifting, lugging in gear, etc. I'm not saying this is the norm, because it's not, but I decided to cut my losses and get dyno tuned.

01/18/2006: Dyno tuned by Synergy Motorsports   in Fremont CA.

304.3HP/329.9TQ

This is by far the best money ever spent on this truck. If you want your F body or truck to run right get over to Rick's shop and let him tune it for you!

02/07/06: Transgo shift kit, Corvette servo and B&M tranny cooler.

02/20/06: My 45th. birthday. Bought myself a new Yank TT3000 torque converter!

02/23/06: Yank TT3000 shipped today! Purchased cam: 224/224 114 lsa. These mods should put my RWHP at around 340.

02/28/06: Truck @ Synergy for cam & converter install.

03/03/06: Dyno Chart w/Cam&Converter

339.3HP/327.3TQ

Not sure about the results. The HP is where i expected but the torque is a little low. We'll see how well she runs the 1/4 soon enough.

First passes at Infineon I managed an honest 15.1 1/4.
Degreeing the cam and heading back in mid april.

330.2HP/332.0TQ

New graphs w/ 4 degs of cam advance. The peak Hp is down as expected but I have more power under the curve and it feels better. We'll see how my time is next week.

05/16/06: Run slip for april 26th.
15.031 @ 94.01 mph.
2.262 60'

August 2006: Supercharger, LPE cam and 2800 converter swapped.

450HP/440TQ

8/30/06: Infineon Raceway. pulley'd down to 3.2" and a little more road tuning by SynergyMotorsports.

13.09@102.49

09/16/06 More tuning with the 3.2" pulley

483.8HP/472.7TQ

09/20/06: --->>New Best Times

12.95@102.60mph

10/10/06: Methanol Injection Installed.

10/14/06: Tuning with Meth resulted in a gain of 10/10

493HP/487TQ

10-25-06: Performance Trucks.net NOR-CAL MEET at Infineon Raceway!------>>> 12.81@103.74 <<<------------

11-15-06: Custom built dual exhaust by Synergy Motorsports, Magnaflow cats, Borla XR-1 ovals. Thanks Rick!!

497.6HP/495.3TQ

11-18-2006: New Times

12.65@109.27

11-18-2006: Alky kit quit while on the last run. Controller apparently the issue. No obvious damage to engine. New controller ordered.

12-2006: Still down. New controller went after 25 minutes.

12-16-06: Meth kit is up and running. Tune is way rich but I forget how much I LOVE BOOST!! New independantly wired MAP sensor did the trick. Scheduled for dyno Jan 3rd.

1-18-07: Dyno tuned A/F mix @ Synergy today and leaned out the rich spots

514hp/518tq

02/17/07: Performancetrucks.net meet@sacramento I ran 2 runs both 12.75@106.25

3/03/07: Braided brake lines installed.

3/21/07: New best set at Infineon

12.59@106.21

04/09/07: Just ordered a nitrous wet kit from Nitrous Dave's Nitrous Outlet.

550hp/564lbs.

4/20/07: Kit installed. 35 wet shot.

05/12/07: New best w/35 shot.

12.14@109.46

07/13/07: Install: AS&M long tube headers, 60lb Mototron injectors and MagnaVolt fuel pump booster at Synergy Motorsports. Increase methanol and tuning for the 50 shot.

07/20/07: 566hp/613tq

11/3/07: Replaced the Comp 918 springs for the new upgraded 918's and did a little more street tuning with Rick including some 4x4 launches. Ready to roll for the 17th.

11/17/07: New best times 12.07@112.27

03/22/2008: New best times

11.97@109.01

05/09/2008: Update. New parts in. Belltech StreetPerformer shocks, new urethane bumpstops for suspension upgrade. LS2 Corvette 90mm throttle body and TorqueRush X-link, 90mm. Magnuson J-Tube. 3" Magnuson pulley.
Installation pending.

05/24/2008: Installed the Belltech Street Performance shocks, urethane short bumpstops and the improved Magnuson tensioner. Everthing went on well and the ride is 100% better, expecially in front where I had been riding on the stockers. The front suspension goemetry is to spec. and feels great!

07/11/2008: Truck is at Synergy for 3" pulley, Refreshed FLT level 5 transmission, CTS-V heat exchanger and 75hp nitrous upgrades.

07/25/2008: SD Tuning complete, 90mm intake and 75 shot netted a 570hp/750tq run on the dyno. It appears as though hp is being lost through the converter. Some logging to follow soon.
