UPDATES AND PROGRESS...
...And no, I do not believe in the evolution of mankind in this sense. I just thought it would be cool imagery for the "updates and progress" section... :o)

IN THE BEGINNING...

This is how the Civic began. I didn't get a digital camera until late 2005 so I don't have any actual before photos. But... this is how it looked to the "T"; same hubcaps and everything...

EXTERIOR STYLING...

I changed out my Type Zero sideskirts for rocker mouldings from a 98 coupe. I really never liked the TZs because of the vents and overall blocky shape of them. I initially wanted something more refined and stock in appearance, yet more aggressive than the stock EJ1 mouldings. The TZs were the least outrageous I could find at the time... little did I know I could have swapped for the EKs. :-( Anyway, the EKs are a direct fit with very little modification and more along the lines of what I was originally trying to accomplish exterior wise. Much more tasteful IMHO...
I'm also looking at swapping out my spoiler for something a little more conservative or maybe just removing it altogether. I'll decide on that once I get it dropped a bit more. Once I get it dropped and add fogs, the exterior will pretty much be complete. I'll more than likely install a black mesh grill in the front and will eventually look into getting it repainted. It is currently OEM Granada Black Pearl (code NH-503-P). I'm contemplating going jet black next time around. Only time will tell...

SUSPENSION / WHEELS...

I'm planning on upgrading my Tokico lowering springs to adjustable coilovers. (Either Eibach Ground Controls, Skunk 2 or Omni Powers) Anyway, I want to lower my car a little bit more to where the wheels are slightly tucked. I would eventually like to do a little auto-crossing, so I'll be looking into some 15 inch wheels and tires for that. The adjustable coilovers will pave the way, building up to sway bars, control arms, etc... the whole nine yards...
I've installed the Eibach Ground Control coilovers and Omni Power camber kit. The suspension is slightly raked as planned. I wasn't able to go as low as I intially wanted for safety and comfort concerns. Here's my only pic I have so far. I'll be taking more pics later...

ENGINE...

I decided to go with a B16A swap for those of you who are interested. I figured maintenance for the turbo and engine would prove quite a challenge on a high mileage motor. I've got about $900 saved up towards the swap and I'm really looking forward to getting that done. :-)
