Stock engine for now... Replaced the stock aluminum valve cover with a much more presentable charcoal powder-coated cover. Will be doing a B16 swap in the future. I have around $900 saved up towards that. But for now, it's me and the "D". ;-)

I've chosen Alternative Motorsports here in OKC to do my swap. Great group of guys with a solid rep. They've done some work on my car before and they always do an excellent job at a great price.

They also have an EBay store, check that out here... Alternative Motorsports EBay Store

DETAILING TIPS...
...Engine cleaning tips for those who may be interested... __________________________________________________________________________________

I always get inquiries about how I keep my paint, interior and engine bay looking so clean, so I figured I’d post an article here to describe the processes I take to maintain a sparkling clean ride.

I am by far no expert, so I think it’s important first to mention that I learned everything I know about car detailing from Autopia.org So, if you’re a detail enthusiasts or just someone looking for some helpful tips, check out this site and hang around for a while… you’ll be provided with a plethora of detailing ideas, product reviews and techniques.

The most enlightening truth I discovered from Autopia is… IT’S THE PROCESS, NOT THE PRODUCT THAT PRODUCES SPECTACULAR RESULTS…. So many people are looking for a miracle product… which simply does not exist. Now of course there are some terrible products out there and by comparison some great products. But a decent product used in the correct way will result in a brilliant, head turning shine! And here's the good news... you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for it. Some fairly inexpensive products out there can achieve just as good if not better results than some of your higher priced products... locally and or online...

Basic exterior detailing...The Porter Cable 7336 is a great investment and I haven't regretted its purchase for one moment. It's a variable speed DA (dual action) polisher that makes it virtually impossible to damage / burn your paint. It pivots back and forth on a balanced head in an orbital motion... much like your typical wax on, wax off... only a lot faster :o) It doesn't build up enough friction to burn paint, but is enough to remove some pretty signifigant paint defects. It's perfect for those who don't yet have the skill or confidence needed with a rotary. This polisher with the right pads and compounds can work miracles on neglected paint... or simply apply and remove wax for a perfect shine!

THE REST OF THE ARTICLE COMING SOON!!!!
