INTRODUCTION... __________________________________________________________________________________
What's up everybody and thanks for visiting my page! This is my 1995 Civic EX Coupe. I bought this car in 1997 with 40k on it. Having since been a gradual work in progress, one day it will be complete. :o) It's my daily driver and it now has well over 300k and it's been an excellent car. Hope you enjoy the site!

...and a few thoughts... __________________________________________________________________________________
My philosophy on the auto-enthusiast community... First of all, I am a detail / car enthusiast at heart, so I am somewhat unbiased regarding car manufacturer and origin. I love all types of cars; from foreign to domestic, from complex German engineering to brute American muscle, from cars meticulously maintained in their stock form, to those creatively and discerningly customized. Primarily, my first love and ambitions are rooted in detailing and car care...
However, concerning customization, I must confess there are some that I deem less than admirable; those that insipidly strip away the heart and soul of what a vehicle was naturally meant to portray, and those changes that render twisted, frivolous, child-like mutations of color, contours and identity...
Modifications should simply strengthen a car’s existing highlights. They should add character and a sense of maturity to the nature and very essence of a vehicle. Sadly, this rationale is determined by individual preference, resulting in dissension and disdain among car enthusiasts abroad. All the argumentative opinions, god-like attitudes and bashing of one another's rides are all very childish to me. A true auto enthusiast appreciates more than a car's engine, origin or appearance, but its history and heritage as well as its owner's passion...
So with that in mind, I try to find some characteristic I can appreciate from each owner’s design. It’s true that some are more of a challenge than others, and I am certain there are those who would conclude similar contempt for my tastes. But if nothing else, I can certainly appreciate a car that is clean and well cared for, being restored or in the process of some other optimistic developments...
Finally, taking the above observations into account, my aspirations for this car were driven toward a stock yet slightly more aggressive appearance. Something along the lines of a manufacturer's tuned version. Performance elements will follow to intensify this theme... and of course, in keeping with all the cars I’ve owned and will prospectively own, maintained with care and scrupulous detail, preserving that “like-new” appearance for years to come. There is nothing that excites me more than seeing a forty year old car that looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor. Ahhh, absolute bliss!

NEW PHOTO! COILOVER SETUP...

Here is my first attempt with the Rebel XTi. Yeah I suck for now, just getting used to everything. This photo is soft, wrong time of day, underexposed, just plain terrible. I mainly wanted to get something up to show how the new suspension sits. Since this pic, the spoiler has been removed. Better pics coming soon...

WALLPAPER...
__________________________________________________________________________________
Here are some photos I kept in at least 800 X 600 format. They range from okay to pretty good. I'm still honing my photography skills, so I'll post up some more as I get inspiration. I shot all these with my Fujifilm S5100 4MP camera. It's a decent camera, but it's time to move on into the SLR realm...
UPDATE!! I received my Canon Digital Rebel XTi from UPS today! Hopefully I'll get to take some new photos this weekend, so keep checking back for updates. Like I mentioned earlier, I'll take some pics of the new Eibach / Tokico suspension setup and put up all new photos and try to do something a little different with Cardomain's new HTML engine. Looking forward to it!
Please feel welcome to use the pics below for your wallpaper or personal keeping. Enjoy!

DREAM CAR GARAGE...
__________________________________________________________________________________
As I mentioned above, I love all types of cars. I show no prejudice to any manufacturer, country or model. If the car's got pizzazz, then it simply has pizzazz! However, as with anyone else, there are a select few that have a special place in my heart. For the sake of time, space and sheer boredom, I'll narrow this down to just 2. :o)
BMW M3 (2001-2006) E46
____________________________________________________________________________________
While the average car buff's dream garage would consist of super cars with astronomical amounts of horsepower and quarter mile times in the single digits right off the assembly line... I'm a more practical guy. I've always been a fan of the BMW M3. I've faithfully followed them from the E30... to the E36... and the current E46. I know we're now at the dawn of BMW's new arrival... the E92 M3; boasting a torquey, 400+hp V8, but the new design leaves something to be desired. Perhaps my impressions will change once it hits the streets, but for now, there's just something about the E46's disctinct appeal that I just can't seem to shake.
Weighing in at 3340lbs it is somewhat a pig, but with 333hp, a great suspension and cleverly geared 6-speed manual transmission, it’s no slouch. Sprinting from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and skipping through the quarter mile in the mid 12s, it has rightfully earned its place in the GT class. A perfect combination of luxury and sport, this would be a joy to drive on your daily commute to work, or tearing up the tarmac on a twisty, winding road course. What’s not to love? The good news is... with a little money management and time, this dream car could soon become a reality. ;o) NOTE: Finally! Someone has figured out how to get some decent horsepower out of the S54 engine without blowing it up... :o) HPF's E46 M3 750hp turbo kit...
PORSCHE 911 GT3 (2007) 997
____________________________________________________________________________________
Being a long time follower of the Porsche 911, (including the closely designed, RUF models), I was somewhat disappointed with Porsche's previous effort... the 996. The outside lines were nice but I sorely missed the classic round headlights. The interiors looked substandard at best, and were poorly designed. (IMHO) But Porsche has won my heart once again with the current 997, and the naturally aspirated GT3 is an absolute thing of beauty! Porsche brought back the signature headlights and the interiors are lavishly designed and appointed with all sorts of cool gadgetry never before seen in a Porsche...
Of course I can't leave out the fact that they've always been fast with the ability to stop on a dime, that's a given. :o) Beautiful and skillfully quick like an agile cheetah… this machine will carve the track promptly and with precision. With a 415hp flat 6 and a customizable “Active Suspension Management” system, it is designed to be a track beast. While its bragging rights come to the sum of 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 193mph, it's still not the fastest car out there, but it is a great blend of loveliness, speed, handling and luxury; the essential elements I look for in a "dream car". We can all dream now can't we? ;o)
