Well, today i picked up a project car. Got it for $175 casue it has a blown motor due to the timing belt snapping. The dude brough it into my work (Crappy Tire, i work in the auto shop), and i found out he was gunna take it to the wreckers, so i offered him the same amount and now i have it.
Here's the specs:
1997 Sport,152xxx km's, DOHC, 5spd, new aluminum oil pan, new tie rod ends, new brakes.
there's some rust and peeling paint, but nothing that extreme. the rocker panels are in great condition with no rust what-so-ever. Here's the pics:

Here's the rust spots on the doors, one is thru, and the other is surface:
And on the trunk:
Interior is pretty clean:

Here's the engine, somewhat torn apart. The passenger side mount was taken off my the mechanic.

Yeh, i'm a slow worker, but it took me a while to find a whole set of used valves for cheap. but i ended up finding a whole set (intake and exhaust), and a harmonic balancer for 100 bucks. considering the fact that new valves are 20 bucks a piece, and i needed 6....i think i got an awesome deal haha. I've also got all the gaskets and headbolts, so next step is to put the head on and compression test it. If that turns out good, then on with the waterpump and pulleys, and hopefully the car will be on the road!
Here's the engine with the head off:

New valves in, and a comparison between a bent valve, and a straight one:

Maybe what i hope it could look like, but probably won't. I'm thinking about doing the paint job like this, becasue it needs new paint on the upper 1/2, but the lower 1/2 is fine.
