TRANSMISSION AND REAR END

The transmission is a stock Pontiac TurboHydromatic 350. The pan was replaced with an extra capacity B&M pan and extended pick up and filter. A stage II B&M transpak was added to the car. The transmission is cooled by an external transmission cooler supplied with custom-made stainless steel lines. The stall converter is currently an 1800 RPM converter; this will be changed to a 2500-2600 stall converter when the transmission gets overhauled in the future. The car does not develop much power below 2000rpm, so to get a good launch a "brake torque" start is required.
Here are some pics of the before and after of the transmission.

The rearend is a GM coporate 10 bolt with a 3.42 posi.
