Hi there and welcome to my page.

It's about my 1992 Mazda 626GE Hatchback GLX. With the 2.0i-16v engine, and airco (always handy)

I bought it just today (15th october 2005) from a dealer. Wednesday (19th october 2005) I will pick it up, and then I will start on my audio install.

It has little over 100.000 miles on it (167.000 kilometers).

I will post updates here every time when I worked on the car.

This is what it looked like when I bought it:

UPDATE 19-12-2005:

The 626 Now:
Mods:
- I put a new grille on it, a 95+ model grille, looks just nicer
- I got rid of all the mudguards cuz they're ugly.
- I put 4point harness belts in there (interior will be updated major, so new seats and everything, so it'll look nicer after a while)-
- A nicer shiftknob, and some Sparco pedals
- And the most important update: Audio install:

Hardware:
- 1x Pioneer DEH-3700MP Headunit (WMA, MP3, WAV, the works)
- 2x Pioneer TS-W303F Subwoofers (12", 500Wmax, 160Wrms, 94DB)
- 1x JBL GTO-622 13 cm speakerset
- 1x Alpine MRV-1000 amplifier (1000W, 2/1 channel)
- 1x No-name amplifier (400W, 2 channel)
- All cables and everything by Caliber

Planning:
By the end of March, I hope to have done:
- 17" rims with tires
- 1 freeflow carbon muffler with open exhaust
- 35mm lowered
- New steering wheel

After that, I'll start the interior modifications, which will be:
- Make sure you can't see any cables anymore
- Use polyester to make a pod so the tweeters are one with the A-pillar
- The crossoverfilters integrated in the doorpanels
- All of the interior (doorpanels, dash, etc) black and blue
- Adjustable bucket seats (with those, the harness belts will look hot)
So the whole interior will be black and blue, matching the trunk
- White gauge faces

After the interior, all that's left to be done, is:
Complete Pakfeifer body kit
Air intake on the hood
Paintjob (front: Subaru WRX STi Blue, rear: Black)

So I'm hoping that the entire car will be ready within a year or a year and a half time.

UPDATE 21-01-2006

Whoot, been a long time... Well, the 6 is really progressing now. I got 17" rims (Eta Beta Joe) with 215-45-17 Avon ZZ3 tires)

Also, i'm starting the interior project. I've spraypainted the doorpanels, dashboard, centre console, basically everything.

Things to do for interior:

- Finish dashboard.
- Make fabric on doorpanels black
- New carpet (black)
- Make headliner, and b, c and d pillars black
- Adjustable racing seats
- Make backseat black & blue
- Spraypaint a pillars when tweeters are integrated
