Now this is Htwhls1 it was my first. It is a 1976 Chevrolet Scottsdale K20 4X4. Starting life with me it had a 383 stroker but it had a rod knock. So the first matter of business was a GM Crate Motor nothing that special though just stock 280hp 350ci small block. It still does the job though five years later and it can still smoke at least one of the back tires. Well allowing it to breath is a K&N air filter on top a stock quadrajet carb. through a Edelbrock performer intake manifold through the seasoned crate motor in the 8.5:1 compression ration combustion chambers where the air/fuel mix is toasted by the Accel U groove spark plugs which are powered by the Accel Ferro-spiral core 8.8mm wires that are pluged into the Accel super HEI coil then the fun begins out of the combustion chamber the burnt gases smoothly escape out the long tube headers into the 2 1/2" exhaust pipe straight forced through Flowmaster original 40 series mufflers and out to destroy the ozone layer. Now that the ride is over it also towers over virtually everything with a Tuff Country 8" suspension lift kit and to assit the suspension lift there is a 3" Performance Assescories body lift kit bringing the total to 11" of lift. Then we have the 40" tall tires it rolls on those would be none other than Super Swamper TrXus STS's and they are married to a set of KMC Assalt 17" rims you know I have to stay up to date have to have the big rims. Now the paint that also was my first I painted it with my dad and a family friend in a garage in Harrisville, Utah it is 69 Camaro Hugger orange with cobalt blue flames. I know the flames need some help but I laid it out free hand no template and it was my first time. That being said doing the painting is easy compared to the bodywork you have to do on a vehicle that old. Only other modifications are the Crystal diamond cut halo headlights and Pioneer premier deck that sends feeds to a Alpine amp then to Rockford Fosgate 10" sub in a slot ported or folded horn box. Although it is currently undergoing surgery for twin remote mount Garrett T3/T4 Hybrid turbos that explains the low compression pistons. I will get more pics asap thats it for now. Keys lets race once these are on!! Here is a close up in case you forgot how big they are! Keys this ones for you.
