i had to replace some valve seals and a leaking rad. assembly. the intake boot was repaired and tires were replaced. i came apon a 1988 PGT for 200$ and couldnt pass it up. the motor was in need of rebuilding and the body was in bad shape. but the suspension and trans was useful.

i started the swap with the rear disc brakes from the drum brakes that came with the DX trim level.

i swapped the swaybars into my car. the PGt had the biggest rear sway bar of all the GD body style here in the states.

Sic GDs man. Is taht a AWR strut bar? Im currently working on swapping the motor tranny and rear end onto my 626. Right now the mods it has are Intrax suspension CAI, and custom exhaust with a civic short throw. In the next few days i hope to have my fuel cell in soon. Maybe on day ill get my mazda lookin as good as yours.

I ask it because I read on www.performanceprobe.com (same engine)that the 2.2 12V cylinder head have a "bottleneck" effect about 210 hp, because the valves are too small, and there's not enough space for bigger ones.
