This is my 1983 Z28 when I first bought it. The car was completely stock except it had no motor or trans.
The first thing that I did was pull out the entire front suspension, including the k-member. I also stripped the firewall of anything that wasn't important.

Out with the old and in with the new. I put in a red powdercoated PA automotive tubular k-member with red powdercoated tubular a-arms. I also added a set of Eibach springs all the way around. Ground clearance was definately an issue with this car. With the lowering springs and the new k-member my ground clearance is about 5 inches with the engine in.
With the new crossmember and springs this car definately has one of the meanest stances I have ever seen. Yes, that is me in the left picture.

Good side shot of the car before I put on the fiberglass fenders.
