So, this is my 1972 Oldsmobile cutlass S. It has a rocket 350, which is pretty much stock, engine is getting rebuilt soon, either this before the summer, or this fall.
oldss72's 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass. This is the finished product, new paint, all new quarters, both sides, pass. fender(NOS) 2 new door shells, a hood, and work done to the deck lid, and drivers fender. It has a new black top, and i decided to go with black bumpers for the time being because the were already painted when i bought the car. I like them.

oldss72's 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass this was taken the day i bought it, may not have looked bad, but look at the other pics, and you will see holes from rust. The quarters were solid glass. The hood was rotten, and the bottem of the doors were rusted as well. The passenger fender was badly out of line, and was mostly poor fibreglass, so we bought a new one. Drivers door frame was fine, which is why we got the new shells. Roof was in ok shape, protected by the top for years. the pillars and roof supports all the way around had rust though. We cut out the bad sections, put in all new metel, custom fabricated, and coated it with a thin layer of bondo.

oldss72's 1972 Oldsmobile CutlassThe engine was not changed very much as there is very little wear internally. The engine is rather dusty in the pic, was taken after it was wetsanded. As stated above, it is a 350 2bbl, with headers, true dual exhaust obviously. Flowmaster mufflers. Was a single exhaust. saved manifolds in case...yea right.

oldss72's 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass The top was just completed in the picture without the doors, done by myself. Need a new front winshield, luckily i did not break the rear glass, because it has the rare option of heated rear glass, and i was quoted 1500 for a new one. That is the original rear glass. The floor was redone as well. I welded in full panels. When i bought it i could put my foot through the floor. Car was painted using Sherwin williams Base/clear. As a result the paint is very shiny, the body panels line up well, and there are VERY minimal waves in the paint, almost none. I still need to put on some chrome pieces, the wheel well trims, and trunk trims, but right now i am just happy to be driving it. I found a stock steering wheel, had the seats reapolstered, put in new door panels, rear panels, and carpeting. Future projects include the intake on the engine, a new gas tank, new stereo in the glove box(there is so little on am), and emblems for the car.

UPDATE 6-23-06
New gas tank was just installed last weekend, new transmission seals were installed, rear marker lights have been purchased and are being installed this upcoming weekend. New carpeting and seats were installed over the winter, and the car is running well

UPDATE 2-26-07
Well, I am getting ready to get the car out soon, hopefully if the weather cooperates I will be on the road late march/early april, This winter I purchased new emblems for the car, a 4 spoke steering wheel, and a set of headlights that use silverstar bulbs as it is difficult to drive at night with the stock ones. They look stock, except are the modern brightness. I will be doing the engine soon, either at the end of march before summer, or in the fall. These are going to be the specs:
Either Speedpro 6cc dished pistons or 1968 14cc dished pistons
New Comp cam and lifters
Ported heads with new springs
Finally going to get the holley carb and Intake in the car
Have the headers ceramic coated
High flow oil pump

Aside from those things, I am going to repaint the firewall, front suspension components, and fender liners. The block will be dipped, cleaned, and possibly bored if necessary. Block will also be going back to gold color
