This is my fathers 1969 Chevy Camaro. he originally built this car when i was in diapers. This car was originally an ugly gold color with a 327 and powerglide. When my dad restored the car in 1984 he took it down to bare metal put new quarter pannels, front clip inner fenders and hood. The only original metal left on the car is the trunklid, roof, and passenger door, almost everything else has been replaced. Then he dropped in a 355 with a steel crank, pink rods, 461 fulie heads, and a wickied inglese weber downdraft setup. the drive train included a borg warner super T10 trans & 12 bolt posi rear and coustom balanced steel driveshaft. This thing was a badass for its time it made around 475 hp and ran mid 12's in the quarter. Well 20 years passed and it was starting to get tired. the engine was losin oil pressure from a bad main bearing and the body was begining to break out in rust. Well what do you expect, the car had been raced and beat on for the past 20 years and had spent the last 3 years with no garage.
That all changed When my parents moved to there new house in 2003. The house sits on 5 acres of land and has a detached 2000 square foot workshop with a lift. After they got settled my dad re-restored the camaro. This time it built a 383 small block stroker with a single demon 850cfm carb and a th350 automatic with a 4000 stall converter. The new engine makes aroud 505 hp according to the timeslips vs wieght and runs low 11's on motor, with plans of spray.
