My Creation is a Center Counsel/Sub Woofer Speaker Box.
First time I have ever built anything with fiberglass...

This is how I started is with a cardboard template

This part of the floor was kind of uneven so I decided to lay a piece of MDF there and mold the fiberglass to it so the bottom would be a little more level with the floor.

Then I taped off the floor really well. Then I taped down a layer of aluminum foil. Then I layed fiberglass matting down and coated it in three coats of resin.

It was only in the 30F-50F when I was doing this, so I had an electric space heater I used to help speed up the hardening/drying process.

This is how I made the top and cut recessed holes for all three Subs. Also how I ran the wires and made the box somewhat smoother....

I used a piece of paper that I made a tube out of to help me run the wires through the box.

This is how I reinforced the top using some scraps of MDF I had.

I then covered the whole box with a cotton polyester blend of fabric I got from the fabric store.

Then it was time to sand it down nice and smooth and fill in any low spots and imperfections.

I put my 20" Blue Lighting Bolt Neon above my Custom Speaker Box Just For Kicks.(Really because there was no where else to put it and it cost like $50 so I had to do something with it) I plan on doing a fiberglass cover for the amps and neon with some more component speakers built in, then the neon might look cooler through a Plexiglas window or something.

Once I got it built I didn't like the way it set up against my dash, so I added a peice on the front, and then I had to cut a section out of it so it would fit in my truck.

Then it was primer time, and then I sprayed it all with dogde dakota silver

CluCool's 1999 Dodge Dakota

Then I taped it of with some 1/8" wide 3m tape

CluCool's 1999 Dodge Dakota

Then I taped the top half off with masking tape and layed 3 coats of dodge dakota black paint.

CluCool's 1999 Dodge Dakota

Then I pulled the tape off of the top half to reveal this...

Then I taped the black off with masking tape and layed 3 coats of intense blue A dodge dakota color as well.

And the final product

Then back in the truck I put FATMAT down and began the chaos of building another fiberglasss enlclouser again......

I am nearly there, I am in the process of adding an aditional piece to the top so it fits better against the back wall. And I have to do som trimming and sanding, but we are nearly there.

Here it is all finished. Primer, then paint
