Doors Repair
My doors were really rusted out at the bottoms so I had to decide if they were worth it to save them or look for some more, since I have more time than money you know what I decided to do. Thats right I saved them. I made a trip to Brothers Classic Truck parts and picked up the inner and outer patch panels and the bottom hinge brace and here are some pics of the repair. The driver side was the worst of the two doors.
Shaved Drip Rails
I theme for this truck build is to smooth everything so I decided to smooth the drip rails. I my sawzall to cut about 6 to 8 inches at a time to make sure nothing moved because the roof of the truck is connected to the body via the drip rails. I then hammer and dolly the gap that the sawall created and grind the lip flush and then weld it up.
