Check out this link...http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=contactVehiclePRZ#10According to Mazda the stock RacingHart has an offset of 65mm... so based on that... a 17x8 48mm offset will extend towards the fender about 25mm... and give abot 10mm more clearance at the strut... no need to worry about a spacer by a long shot. Hmmmm...

Thanks for the advise on the wheel fitment. You mainly answered my question when you said the factory RacingHarts have a +55 offset. The OZs are a 17x8 +48 offset... and based on the fact most sites list 18x8 fit w/ the same offset... it must be the strut that is the issue. A 6mm spacer should give me the same strut clearance as the RacingHarts give me now. As for the fender clearance... I do need to plumb bob the fender.. but eyeballing I should have an inch to play with. I used this link http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp to help. Let me know what you think... Thanks again.
