I bought the car with something like 214,000 km's, (~133,000 miles). The Si was in awesome condition. The outside was solid, with no rust, and the inside looked like it was brand new.

....... a few more from the back.........

The last owner even put on new tires just before he sold it. It has Bridgstone Potenza RE910's. The tires did a great job.

I slowly started builing up my car to try to get it to where I want it to be. I'm not there yet. Funny thing is, I don't think I'll ever know when I'll be satisfied.
Back in the summer 2007, a huge piece of concrete fell off the back of a tractor trailer on the highway hauling debris from a construction site. It smashed right into my car, ruined the front end, broke one headlight, scratched the other, and scratched the whole side and top of my car.
I took it to a local body shop that was referred by a good friend and they took care of the rest. Here's what the outside looks like now.

And a little of the back. These are the original tail lights, but they're a little different. All EK models from '96-'98 had orange lenses for the rear turn signals. I picked up some red adhesive nylon tape specifically cut for these tailights to cover them over. No more orange.

They did complete body work, repaired all dings, dents, scratches, painted everything from under the hood and trunk, to inside the door jams. The only place they couldn't paint was the engine bay. I even got two new sets of OEM headlight assemblies. Crystal clear....
