A few quick pictures...

I hate chrome. I hate chrome. I hate chrome.

I have a Hurst short throw shifter installed to counter the long throw provided by the Hurst chrome 16" handle. That's an eBay generic shifter boot modeled after the Hurst design and it works just as well. I'm still undecided on a shifter knob. Any suggestions?

A shot of the pedals, gauges (hidden from view), stock shifter (only used for fitment), and tachometer. The tach was a surprisingly easy install. I think I paid $25 for it with my manager discount at O'Reilly (and I've never even worked there; is that any indication of how often I walk in?)

This is an updated, but not completed, engine shot. I still need to install the Town Car inner fender, TC fan shroud, TC overfill bottle, CV washer fluid reservoir, Taurus fan, Marauder air box, and mock the Mark VIII MAF into place.

Here's the aluminum driveshaft from the 1995 Crown Victoria. They had a 4R70W and a larger pinion flange adapter, so I needed to use the stock yoke and pinion flange adapter, which required combination U-joints. It was an easy swap compared to the rest of the stuff that's taken place. You can fairly easily see the T5 mounted up on the other side of the H-pipe.

I have a few more pictures I can upload to display more of the work that was done, but I need to get some sleep for now.

Of all the vehicles displayed on Cardomain, this is definitely one of the projects I respect the most. I wish you the best of luck. I cant wait to see this thing done. Shift handle? Id go with a classic T-Handle. Keep up the awesome work.

Good updates. Have you considered adding a page that chronicles the T-5 swap or are you just counting on people going to see it on Fordforums?

Also, is the 3.73 you're going to put in a limited slip or open?

Your '89 sure looks nice and I'm grateful to you for the advice you've given me on fordforums (I go by Nathan in MN over there). Your car basically symbolizes all the stuff I'd like to do on my car.

Good luck with whatever you do to it in the future.

Nathan
