I recently got this car back in July of 05, its been a work in progress but im happy with the outcome so far, my friend found this car in the autotrader and I jumped all over it, its a 2.8L V6 (173CI) with 190,000km but it still picks up pretty good, thank god its a 5-spd manual with no abs and no options period! But lucky for me it is a T-roof.

I Bought it off an old middle eastern guy that had absolutly no clue what the car was worth, it use to belong to his son but his son moved away to another country and it sat in their driveway for a year before they stuck a forsale sign in it. I first saw the car in autotrader for $500! I immediatly drove over to see it (a few blocks from my house.. wow) fell in love, asked the guy to take it for a spin and he didn't understand a word I said lol, but somehow I managed to get everything settled and buy the car.

Here comes the best part, it came with a Sony deck with 3 preouts and sub preout, cant remember the exact model number but its pretty cool, a Rockford Fosgate 1000watt amp, a box and two subs, and wiring included in the $500! The system alone is worth more then the car! And I was able to grab a set of IROC tail lights off a friend of mine, and this weekend im getting an IROC spoiler, new vented fenders, and Pontiac GTP power seats.

To pass cert it needed a new windshield, new tires, a section of new fuel line, all new intake gaskets, a new battery and a new e-brake cable, headlights, and a few other misc bulbs. I got alot of discounts on all of the stuff so in total to get the car on the road cost me $1000. (Incl. the price of the car!) More news to come soon!

Well dont get me wrong I would love to have either 8, the 305 or 350, its jus mostly intimidation factor, say "i have a 305" and people are like "oh", but tell them you have an LT-1 and they're like "damn", because really the 305 doesnt have the greatest rep, even tho it is the same block and everything as the 327 and 350 jus a diff bore size, plus my friend jon eskow has a 305 in his 91' formula firebird and my bro's 94' Camaro with the 3.4 murdered it...

ya after seriuous thought i have decided to go with a 305ci or an LT-1... and if my vote counts for anything i say go with a 3.4 my bro had one in his 94 camaro and it was pretty wicked, itd beat the 80's early 90's mustang 5.0s with ease and keep up nd beat the newer 4.6's! They had some unusual kahunas(along side the later 3.8 that replaced the 3.4)the 3.8 is what my bro has in his 97' and as far as the 3.1 I've heard its quite sluggish and lacks on the availability of performance parts, but the 3.1 would be a more direct fit.. hope this helped your decision, and i approve of keeping it a six, cheaper insurance and in my opinion a good six is jus as good as any 8 you see ont he street, and a real good 6 (turbo'd or s'charged) is deff better than most modded 8's you see on the street

As far as my plans go... im putting the correct front end and driver side fender on and then I'm not sure whether im going to sink money into the 2.8 or drop in a 305, I'd like a 350 but the insurance it a bit much for a 16 yr old w/ a 350 RED camaro.. but ya porlly the 305 H.O.(fuelinjected so i dont have to swap as much crap) and that'll get a full treatment, intake manifold, heads, maybe a port n polish, cam, lifters, roller rockers, some flat-top pistons, hooker headers and true duals prolly consisting of Flowmaster 40 series mufflers...
