PHATGM's 1981 Holden Commodore

PHATGM's 1981 Holden Commodore

Hi and welcome to my cardomain page. I hope you enjoy the photos. Please sign the guestbook!

This site is dedicated to my pride and joy which I have owned since about May 2004.

Here is a basic rundown of the car as it stands at the moment.

1981 VC Commodore

This car started life as a 202/trimatic with that ugly pale yellow colour and a beige vinyl interior...things i have changed since i bought it: motor, trans, diff, fuel system (tank/pump), radiator + thermos, guages, wheels, suspension, exhaust, and alot of other minor cosmetic things here and there.

Colour: Mazda's Tullip Yellow 2pac
Bodykit: Bah!
Engine Type: 308ci Holden V8
Engine Mods: blueprinted and balanced, Wade ground 286 style hyd. cam, cleaned up B-Cast heads, worked quadrajet, JP oil pump
Power: untested, should be good for 13s at the moment
Exhaust: HiTech headers, twin 2 1/2" merging into 3" at the diff
Gearbox: Trimatic - stage 2 shift kit, 2,500 dominator convertor
Diff: Borg Warner 3.08 Mini-spooled
Brakes: 4WDisc
Suspension: King springs. Monroe sensatrack shockers
Wheels/Tyres: 19" VY Senator Signatures. 235/35/19 Kuhmos
Interior: Velour SL/E
Other Mods: Bonnet struts, headlight protectors, VL mirrors, Autometer Oil PSI, Water Temp + Tacho.
Stereo: Pioneer headunit, 2 pairs of bullet splits (stereo is incomplete at the moment)
Build Period: after owning it since may 04 i have been slowly working on it
Cost: a little bit
Future Mods: high volume oil pump, double row timing chain, edelbrock torker manifold, 650 Holley, finish the stereo, and in the long term possibly a stroker
