got the new mesh today, i am in the process of moving to a new appt, but i am going to try to work on it some.

Just got my mesh today to insert into the hole i cut out of the oem grill. only problem is its the wrong style......what a pisser. now i wait for a reply on how they intend to remedy the situation.

Just started on this grille conversion on today. I have ordered mesh to fit onto the upper grill that matches the lower that i already have. I started by removing the chrome molding from around the black housing and painting it black. I then used my dremel to cut out the unused part of the grille. Some pics of the progress are as follows.
Here you can make out the original chrome ring around the grille
First i removed the ring............................
Then i cut out what i didnt want anymore, kinda risky when you dont have anything to replace it with..............

this is what i have left......
here is the ring getting painted, i took a sander bit on my dremel to rough up the chrome so the paint woudl stick better.
Here it is after all the cutting and painting.
And here is the retrofit of the mesh to to OEM grille.
