Ordered a set of letters off eBay and painted them up right. 7 coats of paint and 3 weeks time. A little test to see how they should look...
I taped off the perimeter of the letters and marked the edge of each letter on the tape to ensure a proper refit . It was a warm day (recommended) and the letters came off pretty easily. The leftover double sided tape came off with my fingernails (only thing that didn't scratch the paint)
Trying to get a few different angles
When i painted the Nissan Hamburger I wanted to keep an OEM feel to it.. So instead of painting the entire thing black, i reversed the theme. From chrome w/black letters to black w/ chrome letters
Total before and after. I really think it darkened up the rear end
New Trim - Now in some of these pics its really hard to tell that i changed anything at all. Thats just the sun.
With that said, the before pictures are on the left and after is on the right.
Here are a couple during shots. In some of the pics you can really see how much different it looks
And there it is. A subtle transformation, but one that i am pleased with.
