Im pretty happy deciding to pick up a Jaguar X-Type vs. Audi A4 or VW Passat back in 2005. Jaguars are pretty rare on the road. So, I was pretty aggressive in getting this 02 Platinum Silver 3.0 facelifted and even more unique. This is Not your grandma's Sunday car anymore :-0

Stock Jag comes HOME on 9/10/05. Picked up from local auction house for "dirt" cheap.

Round 1 - 9/26/05 Installed Eibach Full Suspension Kit from Performance Center (Irvine, CA) 1.2-inch Drop Front And 1.2-inch Drop Rear Pro-System With Coil Springs And Dampers. Installed by Jaguar Specialist - Valley Hi-Tech Auto (Santa Clara, CA). This completely killed the bounce and rolls experienced from stock suspension.

Round 2 - 10/7/05 Installed Full Body Kit from JaguarXp (Agoura Hills, CA) 05 Sport Body Kit (front&rear aprons w/ reverse sensor kit and side skirts) This kit absolutely makes the car look longer and taller. Installed at Angels Body Shop in Milpitas, CA . Absolutely clean job.

Added trunk spoiler as a finishing touch. Reverse sensors still work.

Round 3 - 10/8/05 Added 18" Chrome wheels\Tires. 18x8.5 (38mm offset with hubcentric rings) Chrome ADR Sterlings from EBAY > Eurowheelsusa, Robert Nafe (Scottsdale, AZ) and 225/40 18 Essenza Tires from EBAY > brknwngs83(Ripon, CA) . I got a KILLER deal on both. I cant believe I got Chrome Wheels and 18" Tires less than $1200

The wheels perfectly line up with the fender flare and truly enhance the kit.

UPDATE: (9/8/09)

- Front end is complete.  Had new shop install the Invisibra on lip.  http://lifetimetint.com/ .  Also, took care of suspension noise.  Finally, got new rubbers which Im set for the next season.

- (8/14/09) The CAT is back front the shop & the front spoiler looks great.  Im waiting to get the invisbra installed shortly.  Just threw on some new rubber.

- (8/6/09) Car is back in the shop due to Another Fender Bender with a NO License, NO insurance IDIOT!  Works out perfectly as I also need to replace my front spoiler apron which was ripped off during a bumpy ride :-(  I will also have the INVSI BRA installed on it as it has been a blessing against rocks and debris on the road.

- (03/10/07) Car was a victim of an accident. Car was repaired and I took this opportunity to install the Lower GRILL.
- Just got Lower Mesh Grill (JaguarXP) and will install (Angel's Body Shop) by end of January.
- (10/7/06)Matt Del Rosa from Central Coast Bra provided great MOBILE install service. I had the entire front end plus side view mirrors protected.
- 7/13/06 Mesh Grill is on and the spoiler has fresh coats of paint. Im still trying to locate a local shop to install the paint protection film.
- 6/25/06 The Jag is going back to my Body Shop to retouch my front spoiler. Driving down bad freeways at 100+ mph doesn't help. While there, Im also going to have my Chrome Mesh Grill installed and have the Invisi-Bra (3M film) installed on my front spoiler\bumper\hood.
- 1/11/05 Wierd Creaking noise from rear-driver side suspension started getting louder and more noticeable after lowering car. I took it back to my Jag specialist and he found a worn rear bushing. He fixed it and provide some lubrication. No more noise.
- Added $6 Spacers to the rear Springs and elimintated the rubbing. Rolled all fender-wells. these have prevented ost of the rubbing.
- 10/21: Great Weekend Trip to Renvo, NV (~320miles). Ripped over the Mountains through the turns with NO problems. Shot pass slower bimmers and benzos. (made heads turn). It was great having it valet parked at the Peppermill near the main entrance. No worries of theft.

These exterior mods are the essence of the Northern California Flavor. European styling with a lil Bling\Bling. Currently, there are NO mods to the interior.

Future Mods:
Exterior -
- Bottom mesh inserts.
- Cross Drilled Rotors. Maybe Painted Brake Pad.
- Arden Exhaust Pipes (fill the rear body kits exhaust openings)
- Performance Chip (if i can find one)

Electronics -
- GPS navigation system, remote auto engine start

Next PROJECT:
ARDEN Range Rover HSE Sport

Your correct in that the Jag is more rare..it's also better looking than the other cars. I don't like chrome but it's still a sick car either way. 5*
