ok, so my car idles very high in park and neutral...the part i need rests in the idle air control valve (IACV) which is mounted on the intake...this part lies below the plastic intake parts and is explained in detail below...if ne1 is parting out their car and would like to take off this spring and mail it to me (for a fee of course) i would be very grateful!
ps...no VG people! this is strictly a VE motor part.
All that is needed for this is a set of pliers, small phillips screwdriver, and a set of metric sockets. Holding the IACV to the intake are 4 bolts in a square pattern. to get to these bolts easier i suggest first taking off the plastic intake parts so u can reach in there easier, giving you picture to the right with the intake piece removed from the throttle body
also unplug the 2 wire harnesses (purple and brown). keep in mind the top bolts also house another part that must be taken off b/f the iacv can b removed. after the iacv is unbolted, the radiator hoses mounted on it need to be taken off...then the unit can be removed from the engine.
next unscrew the part where the piston is and be careful because the spring may pop out...then youll have this (of course mine has no spring :(
youre done! now u just have 2 let me know that youre a cule guy and send the spring to me for whatever rip off price you want 2 charge me!
