Welcome
Well I just recently purchased a 1986 Nissan 200SX XE Hatchback. I got a pretty good deal on it, and it is in pretty good shape. Here's a little something about it:

I will be working on the interior very soon (Basically the next day when it is sunny). A sunny day means that I will be ripping out the door panels, cleaning them down, masking, and dying the vinyl and fabric.

Interior: Custom - White, Black and Royal

Well I just recently masked my door panels and cleaned, sanded, primered and painted the white for the doors. I wish I had a digi-cam so I could take some pictures. I'll try to get some up. I also painted the sun-visors, center-console cover, and created my own shift boot. Looks great! Waiting for my day off and a sunny day to fabric-dye the Black on the panels, and rip out the dash-board and prepare it for paint.

Today was my day off. I had the time to do a lot of work today. Basically what I did was remove my dash, and all of it's components (glove box, steering wheel hub, etc). Took me some time because of the air flow module throughout the dash, but with a little help from friends I got the job done. Basically what I'm doing now is masking and painting.

I've painted my center console a nice, dark black, aswell as some contrasting pieces like the glove box, and miscelleneous plates. I painted those white. Very nice contrast.

I also pulled out my side door railings. They were the stock beige, but I pulled them out, cleaned them and dyed them a sharp black. Looks very clean. This car will look great when its done.

Tomarrow I will have time to clean and mask the actual dash, and will begin the painting of it.

So today was the day. Just finished painting EVERYTHING, and I reassembled everything. Everything is plugged back in, dash is in tact, everything looks great.. I just have to recarpet the car, re-fabric the ceiling, and dye the fabric on the door panels. Plus get some seat covers, aswell as a new steering wheel and dvd player for my 5.6" TFT screen.

I have a problem starting my car though. Don't know what it is, but it has to be electrical. If not then it's the starter. I have a spare starter though, so I might try to put that in, along with my P/S belt that is starting to squeel.

Had some help today with both the weather and a special electrician. Got my car running again, and now my dash and door panels are basically done. Just need them put back in after I fix my power window motors. Time to rip out the rear quarter-panel interior pieces and do those up to. Here's a picture of my door panels.

Sorry for the quality. Just webcam style.

It's been a while since I updated on this page. Well to recap on the car, it's basically 75% done, visually. I've installed a deck, but it has some wiring issues (I don't know what's wrong). The pop up lights don't go down after I reattached the dash. And the cigarette lighter doesn't work. I don't know what's wrong with them but the car runs fine and that's all I really care about at the moment.

Everything is done up and running.

Under construction
