I picked this up in june 0f 04, i had planned on restoring a green 5.0 lx mustang, but after i saw this i changed my mind, being i already have one 5.0..... something different was acceptable...

It has a few dents, the paint isn't great, the front bumper was ripped off, the engine was getting tired, and the rims weren't great....the intereior was the best thing on the car, despite the fact that the headliner was falling down, everything else was clean, complete and unbroken......

I bought a 1st gen motor off of one of my friends, had it cleaned up and bought a few new parts for the motor to help it flow a little better....I bought a new exhaust manifold, O2 housing, and a new turbo....more will come, but for now i just want the motor tight, and running well....
It should be out of the shop within a few weeks, and i can then see how it performs...

I got the car back, and it was ok, but it definatley felt restrictive. There was a little more turbo lag because of the stage 2 16g. The 2cd gen ported header was flowing a little better, but the stock exhaust was really hurting the spool up. So I went with an ATR 3" 02 Housing, Downpipe, and race pipe. I had the local performace muffler shop finish it off with a 3" cat back exhaust using a dynamax muffler. I got a set of 17" 2003 stock mistubishi eclipse GT rims/tires which really set the car off. I also bought a 2cd gen MAS and did the conversion. I got some new intercooler piping with a new Greddy type S BOV, a new ported throttle body with larger elbow, and new 550cc Injectors. For the interior, I fixed the headliner, installed a 2 gauge pillar pod with some autometer gauges, and a short throw with stiffer shifting bushings, a braided clutch line, and a stage 2 clutch setup from extreme motorsports. More will come soon, especially body work, cuz its still hurting, but i had to fix the idling issue, and a few tranny leaks first. As for now the talon runs very strong, and I'd love to see what it could do with a FMIC, and a small fogger kit....

I posted some updated pics, with the rims, and all.. It still has the one big dent on the passenger side, and a small on the drivers side.... but overall isn't bad... Oh and the bumper is a off of a black talon of the same year... it will get to the body shop for some dent removal, and a good spray eventually, but as for now, it is a fun car to go out and play with...
