The Project Car:
1990 240SX Coupe...
Skyline RB20DET motor...
After locating a satisfactory 240SX in Oklahoma, I flew down from Chicago (where I live) to pick it up. After the drive up, I was hooked. It's a light weight RWD Nissan, what's not to love?

The main reason behind getting a 240SX from the south is rust. Almost every S13 240SX I found around the midwest has lots of rust.
I ordered an R32 clip from Venus Auto in Cali. (I recommend going through another company, these guys suck). And installed it soon after. To my dismay, the turbo was almost shot, the cylinders had horrible compression, and the guage cluster which they said had 44K miles and represented engine mileage, wasn't even the origional cluster (they ripped the origional one out and just stuck this one near the pedals). So, after 4 months of deliberation, I finally got them to send me a replacement motor at my shipping expense. Well, at least I've got a lot of spare engine parts!
This is the replacement turbo I bought after installing the 2nd RB20. It's an HKS GT2530 .63 trim. Good for about 320whp.

My plans are to install the turbo when I get a front facing intake manifold. I have a few options here, but I would like to go with the R.I.P.S. manifold from down under. After that I plan on welding the diff (temporary solution, I will be getting a Quaife helical LSD). To keep up with the turbo I will also need GTR injectors, a fuel pump, ECU reburn, and an uprated clutch.
