This is my 1989 Toyota 4runner,

toyotapower124's 1989 Toyota 4Runner

it has 200000 miles on its 22re engine. I got it stock except for the warn manual hubs and satellite radio, everything else I have added on. So far the list includes a 2 ?? Flowmaster 40 series muffler, (header coming soon), K&N air filter, a old 8000 lb Belleview winch mounted on a warn brush guard which I had to modify to fit the rather large winch. A 2? body lift, and it is rolling on 32? wild country XTX and stock Toyota rims. for the off road i got 5 KC 6x9s that are going on the roof, and beefed up skid protection. Interior I have a level indicator and altimeter that i got off a totaled 4runner, oil pressure gauge, outside temperature gauge, CB, B&M shifter handle, panasonic stereo and satellite radio.

i pulled this guy out of a river right after i got my winch, this was the first time really using the winch. i tied the back end of my truck to a tree with some tow rope so my truck wouldnt move and i snaped the rope cause i was pulling so hard

I would go with the 22RE! But when you buy that header you might want to get a few extra gaskets to go with it. I had a 94' pick up and put a header on it. I went through a gasket a month. Just normal wear. Also you need to level out that rear end! But, It looks good.
