Hi there everybody. My name is Brittney and this is my commuter car (about 18,000 miles a year). It is a front wheel drive, 1994, 2.5 Liter, 4 cylinder, 3 speed automatic, Dodge Spirit.
Just a few things.
1. DON'T BE A DICK. I'm kind and honest with people, because I hope for it back. Tell me what you think, good or bad. If you don't like it, well that's alright! I cannot win them all.
2. I DON'T LIKE RICE. What I don't like is colored lights/neon tubes, fart can mufflers, body kits that are broken and fitted poorly, and those big ugly wings. But I simply cannot stand the attitude that says, "I'm faster than you and that is all that matters."
3. MY SPIRIT IS NOT FAST. It is not a race car. I have modded it to be fun, but still reliable and practical. It goes teriffic in the snow, is easy to work on and get parts for, and is excellent on gas and handling. It's not, however, your everyday bland Spirit.

-there are NO APC parts on my car
-the original head gasket lasted over 100K miles
-stock size wheels and tires
My Spirit has the normal forever-running 4 cylinder 2.5 engine with 135K miles. There certainly is nothing to brag about except for how reliable the engine is, but here are the specs. SOHC, 8 valve, 135 lb-ft of torque, 100 hp, and 22+ mpg. I painted the valve cover mopar blue and took out the factory air intake tube that was ribbed and replaced it with a smooth one. I also had the head and head gasket replaced, put in new plugs and plug wires, etc, and made a strut tower bar.
Here's a short list of some smaller things I have done.
-new rear reflector lens assembly
-clear corner and signal lenses from an Acclaim at the junkyard
-removed mud flaps
-my own style body kit
-painted pillars between windows
-sanded and painted window trim and mirrors
-removed the outside antenna
At the time when I did the paint job, I left the stock bumpers but they looked awful with the paint. I designed my own front bumper attachment. It gives the appearance of ground effects, but still provides a very functional 9 inch ground clearance.
Before and after.
I painted Corey Taylor from Slipknot on the hood.
I painted 4 pictures of Wayne from Static-X on the drivers side.
I also painted 4 pictures of Elizabeth Montgomery on the passenger side. I have always admired her very much, and people have told me that we look very similar. You may know her better as Samantha from the 60's TV show "Bewitched" that ran for 8 seasons.
A pic of Liz next to a pic of me, as some of you have requested.
The back before.
I used to have the reflector assembly and lenses stock, but they didn't look good so I painted them. I designed the back bumper piece to match the front, with the same clearance. I made the evil emblem out of plexiglass, super glue, and paint. When I can afford it, I buy Mopar parts from Wagner Dodge dealership where the Spirit was bought. As much as they take care of me, I thought I could put their plate frame on my car.
Thank you for looking at my Spirit.
