This page will be dedicated to the everything about the supercharger build.

Here is the full set of pictures of the supercharger build. It goes pretty much step by step showing each piece of the build.

Even after debating for over a year over the m112 supercharger or a Vortech, and leaning towards the m112 the whole time, I finally purchased a custom Vortech setup. I have a lot of the parts needed to do the m112 supercharger, but I will end up just leaving them on the shelf, as I might go that route if I ever get bored with the Vortech. The head unit is a V1 S-Trim. The kit is custom because a Windstar Upper Intake (Yes off the Minivan) and a Procharger front mount 2 Core Intercooler will be used in the kit. A traditional Vortech kit is not intercooled, so adding the intercooler and Windstar upper intake make it a very custom 1 off kit. Also, a Tial blow off valve will be added on which should sound killer when it is revved up. The head unit is satin, and probably will remain so for this summer, but in the off season I plan to polish it. Here is a picture off of the previous owner's car.

I will be updating frequently throughout the build with many pictures and progress shots. At 12 psi, the previous owner was making 330hp/335tq and was running constant 13's. I only plan to run a 7 or 9 psi pulley, so I'm aiming for high 200's in both the HP and TQ department. I'm aiming to hit low 14's at the track as is with stock drivetrain, which isn't very fast, I know, but I'm not trying to blow anything up, as this is a daily driver.

Due to the lack of low end torque produced by the Vortech, I will be looking into a take off 8.8 rear end from a GT with 3.55's or 3.73's at most, and a J-Mod. In the near future, maybe a 3k stall will be added, to help break the car into the high 13's.

Everyone keeps telling me to just get it over with and do the v8 swap...Easier said than done. With the V8 I will need a new tranny, rear end, springs and computers. The car was designed for a V6, not the V8. Swapping it out will change the whole geometry of the car and the handling. With the supercharger its just a matter of putting it on. Maybe a new rear end would be somewhere in the future, but I don't plan on beating on the car so the 7.5 should be fine. I'de rather have a blown v6 than just a regular V8 motor. It just seems more impressive to me to look at something a lot more unique like this, rather than looking in at the GT motor in a lot of cars.

This whole thing is more for a learning experience, rather than just having a shop install everything for me and get instant results. I'de rather see how things work and be able to appreciate when a guy works on his own car rather than some others I know that just have someone else do the work for them.

Hey man you got a fine looking ride. I like what you have done to it. We have alot in common. You know you will have to crank that psi up to get what you REALLY want out of that supercharger. If you ran 7 to 9 psi with a turbo, it would blow your hp and tq numbers out the water. I know you probably don't believe or wanna hear that but look it up if you don't believe me. Overall, you still have a tight ass car. Since you got the supercharger, look into methanol injection and knocking psi up to 12-14 range.
