Well here goes....
My 2002 Kia Rio RS, a force to be reconned with (I wish). My whole
car experience in the past 3 months has been quite harrowing. Let me tell a
little story bout and man named Brad, and a little old car that he used to
have..........
The Date: March 10/02: My '88 Nissan Stanza suddenly decides to destroy itself when I am driving to and from a hockey game (Game 2 of my series in our local hockey league). Like being in the playoffs on the brink of elimination wasn't enough pressure, my car had begun shaking uncontrollably, had become very noisy, and took me about 3 miles to get up to 60 km/h. Something just wasn't right.
March 13/02: I learn from my trusted mechanic that my precious Stanza was now a very large door stop. She had served me well performance wise, but she had begun to cost me an arm and a leg. Within the past month I had just put in new ball-joints and tie-rod ends, a new tire, and a brand new front axle. So when my mechanic told me that she was probably gonna cost a good $2,000 to get up and going again (blown valves, bent rods, timing belt, and a large number of other things), I stepped back and thought for about 2 seconds before declining. Since I was to start a new job on the 20th of March with a substantial pay increase, I turned my sights to a new vehicle, MY FIRST NEW VEHICLE PURCHASE. Off to another local mechanic my car was towed where I promptly sold my Stanza for a cool $250 bucks (it may sound low, but at this point I just wanted to get some money out of it).
Mar. 14/02: My frantic car search begins. I go to the local Chevy dealer and look at a couple Cavaliers. Test drive a 2001 and like it. The price is a little higher than I had wanted to pay for a used, but it was a really nice car inside. It had definite possibilities. We ran up some numbers, and I was either get a whittled down 2002 or the nicely loaded 2001.
Mar. 15/02: I remembered there was a local Kia dealership in town, so I headed over there. Test drove a green Kia Rio, and was extremely surprised at the car considering how I had been told to view them, as cheap little cars that weren't worth the money. The car was great, but what really clinched my decision was the warranty on it, a warranty that far surpassed all others offered, including one from a local Hyundai dealer who told me he had the best warranty in te business.....NOT SO.
The 15th was also the last day of my old job, and it was a little stressful to get around and get all paperwork in order, order up my new car, and also still be able to get back to work. Special thanks to my old bosses who let me skip out of the office at times to get stuff done that just had to be done.
March 16/02: Supposedly my car arrived today, eventhough they told me it wouldn't arrive till Monday. My friend Andrew and I cruise by to take a look, and see if the beotch is in yet. Out front of the dealership, still with the majority of the shipping tape still attached is my lovely little Kia.
March 18/02: Today is the day, the RS is ready to roll out. ROLL OUT, ROLL OUT.

I pick her up at the dealership and proceed to motor off into the sunset. Great Car. I haven't yet regreted to this day that I bought my little black Kia Rio RS, only that I wish I had got air conditioning put in.
