***Updates***
Ok, fixed the picture order but the sizing on almost all of them is messed up. I can't seem to fix it either. As well, as is life. Clicking on most of the pictures will give you the normal sized and proper aspect ratio'd pictures. And my Silverado is finally done, so once I get my digital camera expect some pictures of the Team EGO Silverado!

Well, it's official: I've retired this car from the IASCA and USACi competition circuits. I'll prolly goto some shows with my new ride once it's done, but my showing days I think are pretty much over. This car has been through many different installs since this one featured on this page, but I have to say this was one of the best looking installs. Eventually I made the car into a 100% SPL beast. The installs were all very clean, but built for functionality as oppose to looking as good as possible. I stuck with Kove Audio U2 15" subs, but moved to 16 Crossfire BMF1000 amplifiers for power, and 8 Xstatic Batcap batteries for stored energy. By the time I retired, my RMS power was ~32,000 watts, and peak power for burps ~45,000 watts of power. It's nice to have tricked out amps that can handle an 18 volt load. I'm leaving all the pictures up for prosterity's sake, but feel free to ask my any questions ya want. My email address is alan@afweb.net.
As for why I'm retiring: I came, I saw, I conquered, and had a blast doing it. But with the most recent installation, the Blazer weighed in at ~10,000 lbs. It broke every trailor that it was ever transported on. It bent part of the bed of a flatbed semi under the passenger side rear tire from the weight. Basically it had to be shipped everywhere and that just got prohibitively expensive.

Here is a picture of my score on the 2nd day (although I hit .1 dB higher than the picture) at the IASCA 2000 World Finals.

And finally, a picture of the car itself. Compliments of Velocity Technology, as they were at the IASCA 2 World Finals taking a mad amount of pictures. Sorry that it's a wee bit washed out, but the original picture was pretty dark so I had to artifically brighten it a little bit :-)

Here is a picture of lays *right behind my head*. Needless to say, I can't even sit in this car when I'm competing. Nor do I even dare crank it up all the way when I'm in it without some serious headphones on!

Here is a slightly better shot of what lays behind the passenger (and driver) seat.

This was the backseat area. Now it is the box, period. It is made out of 1" Plexiglass which is *extremely solid*.

This is the same area with the red neon turned on. The picture isn't all that great, but (suprise surprise) I can't use the flash on my camera and take a picture of the neon and expect to see all the red. :-)
If you could take a moment out of your time to rate this stereo before going on to the next page, I would greatly appreciate it. :-)
