I picked up this 2001 Z28 Camaro on Friday, September 16, 2005. The car was in mint condition with only 38k miles on the odometer. This car has the LS1 motor pumping out 310 hp and 340 ft. pounds of torque. The car color is Monterey Maroon Metallic. Only 1,485 (5.1% of the Camaros made in 2001) were made in this color. On top of that, my car is a 1SC stripper, so that makes it not common. The weird thing is, it did come with some options. My car came with the following options: T-tops, chrome rims, rear defrost, and a single CD player. There is no documentation on how many 1SC Monterey Maroon Metallic cars were made, but very few were made because 1SC cars were rare in their own right.
Since I have owned the car, I have put on the following:
- SLP lid
- GMMG Exhaust
- Brembo Rotors (drilled)
- Hawk HPS Pads
- Blue ATE DOT4 Brake Fluid
- UMI 3 Point Sub-frame Connectors (bolt-in)
- 245/50/16 BF Goodrich T/A KDW Tires
- ProCarParts Whistler Headlights
- 1997 SS Spoiler
- Berger Panel
- Billet Grille
- Specialized Stainless Engine Bay Bolt Kit
- Tint (35% sides, 5% rear)
Next mods include: UMI Lower Control Arms with relocation brackets, lowering springs, Koni SA shocks, and wheels.
Long live the F-bodies !
