our new car
My gf (now wife) and I bought this rabbit off of her brother, right after he had bought it. He paid $600 for it and we gave him a calf, a watch, a crash cymbal and a stand.
There was a family in town that drove around a couple Rabbits, and they loved seeing us in this, for we made THEM look good. As you scroll down, you'll see why.
This is before I put in the Alpine CDX 9845. We couldn't even get radio reception or play tapes with this. What a horrible existence.
This is the dash with the nice Alpine CDX 9845
I also replaced the front speakers with these cheapos I found at Princess Auto. I've yet to replace the wires going to those speakers.
I bought that limo tint from Canadian Tire and put it on, looked not too bad, I re-applied it to make it look better and get rid of bubbles, but I don't think I took any after-pics.
I did a bit of interior remodelling - recarpeted the back panel and removed the junky ol' speakers
You can see my Sony 6x9 on there - Before and After Shots
Here's a shot of me playing around with the idle speed
Old Future plans (car found itself on a dirtbike track and just wasn't up to the challenge):
-Paint exterior with Tremclad high gloss so I don't look like such a douche driving this. Let me know what paint would look best, since dark green paint inside with light brown interior colors.
-Cheap aftermarket pedals, since rubber is worn off on clutch pedal.
-Cheap shift boot replace torn old one and to match pedals.
-Paint rims white
-Remove Bumpers
-Fog lights, either massive round Hella-types or small square ones
