Hey this is my little 1981 Honda Prelude, my first ever car. Picked it up at a used car fair around six months ago from an old lady who gave it great care. It was kept all original before it got to me exept for the Chevoit mags (lucky, the stock steel wheels look shit), and apart from a few minor engine mods for a bit more grunt and a stereo I want to keep it original. She goes pretty well. The 1.6 only has 59kw of power but its only a light car and because it has a 5spd gearbox it goes pretty well. So far, besides just driving around town, I have taken it on 3 major trips. Two trips to the sout coast and trip to Sydney. Fun times.
On this page I have pictures of my car On page 2 I have the mods i have currently done plus the ones I want to do On page 3 I have a list of specs
Here she is in all her glory after a polish, a wax and some mag cleaner
Interior was kept pretty nice, so I havent done anything to it
Paintwork was kept pretty nice too, so all ive done is buffed the scratches outof it and than polished and waxed it
Its got the speedo and tacho combined which i think is pretty cool
Next page has the mods

Your Prelude looks very nice - remembers me on my own one ;) I like the 1st generation. They have a lot of charm

Sorry for my confusion, conservative dash only for US. Though my Nov '80 has rear wiper unlike my '79 which has RED carpet with it's black interior.. Wish mine was as nice as yours but I cannot complain for the money.

Your car certainly looks nice enough to be proud of. I thought that I should say hello since I have put my '79 Accord on this site as well & have also found myself with 3 '79&'80 Preludes after I found them at prices that were too tempting to refuse...even if they do require work...one is to be killed for it's 5speed gbox.P.S. Your car looks like '80 build -Honda H was added to grille & dash went conservative with separate speedo/tacho during '81.Shaved head would probably restrict you to High octane petrol instead of unleaded.
