THE NEW ENGINE!!! This is such a huge difference from the old 260, man talk about horsepower and rumble! Here's the scoop on the engine swap. First things first...got to give props to Fred Bitner Automotive in Hamilton, NJ for doin' such a great job!
The block is a seasoned 302 that was magnafluxed, honed, and bored .03 over. The block was then fitted with:
Eagle SIR I Beam (Street Performance Balanced Rotating Assembly)connecting rods and crank, w/ Perfect Circle Rings and Clevite Bearings
Pistons - Speed Pro Hypereutectic, 9:1 compression
Heads - Edlebrock Performer Aluminum RPM Heads, Ford Racing valve covers
Intake - Edlebrock Performer Dual Plane Intake
Carb - Barry Grant Demon 650 CFM Carb
Fuel pump - Carter
Cam - Ford Racing M-6250-E303 roller cam (228/228)
Rockers - Ford Motor Sport Roller Rockers
Roller lifters - Ford M-6500-R302
Ford Racing Harmonic Balancer
Cloyes True Roller timing chain and timing gear
Oil pump - Meling
Headers - Doug Thorly, ceramic coated
Cooling - Griffen aluminum core radiator w/ Spal electric fan
Electrical - MSD 5.0L Ignition Blaster Ignition, 100 Amp chrome Powermaster Alternator and Powermaster hi-torque starter, Moroso plug wires and looms
Trans - New PA Performance C4 w/ ATI Torque Converter, Lokar shifter.
