4-22-07 Bought a 96' Trans Am roller a couple of months back so I pulled the engine out of this car to put it into that one...will get pics up ASAP here it is up on the lift after the motor went in it.

Same engine, different car.

Feel free to vote or leave a comment, any input is appreciated. This is a slow process but in the end it should turn out really nice.
(7-1-06)Found broken rocker arm stud so I might be replacing all of them along with new roller rockers, hopefully didnt cause any major damage Im not aware of.
(8-17-06)Ok, got new stud now just got to get some time to get it installed and hear it purr again.
(8-18-06) Got new stud installed and it started right up, even after almost 8 months of sitting there. Now i can continue on body work and other things.
(9-9-06) Took out transmission to check out why it wasnt shifting and found thowout bearing wasnt aligned right, putting it back on soon and maybe it will move uner its own power since the project started.
(9-16-06) put the trans in and its shifting pretty good, got some third gen T/A WS6 wheels to hold me over till i can afford some 17x9.5's also got a Grant GT steering wheel for a good deal. plan on polishing the wheels to a new shine. Also put new grounds through out the engine and batt. to help it start better. I will have pics up soon...
(10-1-06) Drove to Dallas to check out a camaro and I ended up buying it as a daily driver...here it is.

Its a 92' 3.1L 5spd with an extremely clean interior, new dash pad, still had original radio and speakers, new water pump and tires, cd changer, cargo area cover.... and best of all no rust underneath it!

I have a 92' spoiler that I want to get rid of if anyone is interested.
The car started out life as a 305 TBI 5 Speed. Somewhere in its life it was changed to a 3 speed auto with some rusty cragar 15" rims in the back and 14's in the front. It had seen its share of country roads too. After a year of driving it around I decided the only way I was going to get started was by ripping everything apart.
And so it began

I wanted a color that I personally have not seen a camaro in and something that would get your attention. Well, ive already gotten a lot of likes and dislikes but I figured as long as I like it, its all good. So here it is.

I put lots of mini silver metal flake in the paint to make it really stand out in the sun. The color is apple green.

These are the gauges I used for the new set up. They are auto meter carbon fiber series. I wanted to keep them inside the factory plastic so they would look kinda cool. For the turn signal indicators I put a green LED at the top of each corner so you cant see them when they aren't on. For the brights indicator I used a purple LED in the middle of the top. The good thing about this design is that I can change the arrangement of the gauges at any time.

Out with the old , in with the new. Chevy small block 355 c.u. built by a local shop to put out about 400 hp.
Edelbrock performer rpm intake and heddman headers. Also back to a T5.
Zoom clutch and black powder coated bell housing and crossmember.

Topped it all off with an edelbrock 650 cfm carb and chevy air filter. Had to put a fuel pressure regulator because im still using the tbi fuel pump that I had just replaced before getting started.

Thats a lot of green!
Ordered the new fenders over the weekend hopefully we will be installing them along with the bumpers soon. Going to change body kit to the 91-92 type. Found side skirts at a junk yard in excellent condition, still need the front one though.

The interior is back together now.

The project is on hold for a while since I just moved to texas to start a new job and it will take a while to get settled. I have the body put back together but it is not completely painted. Here it is waiting for me to finish it.

7/22/06 Started on a little body work to keep me busy until I can afford the rest...

The new steering wheel and WS6 wheels...

The wife's ride. Three 7" monitors,2 DVD players, black leather and suede seats, seat warmers, 2 10" Phoenix gold subs, Soundstream mids and highs PG bass amp, eclipse 4 ch. amp, bed cover that matches the hump on the hood, alarm w/remote start, lots of blue and purple lighting inside, and of course, the HEMI with dual flowmaster exhaust and upgraded air intake.

I just thought this was a cool picture.
