My '91 Toyota MR2 NA UPDATED 3/5/06

Please leave some comments, good or bad. I know the cars not much now, but this page will be my "in progress" page, so any and all feedback on the car now or what you think would look good is always appreciated.

Well, this is my new MR2. The car is fairly stock and is in overall good condition, it has its problems as you would expect with any '91 car, but I plan on fixing each and every thing over time. The car has its original black paintjob which of course is pretty fading and dull in spots and has quite a few dings and chips from rocks from its 15+ year life. The taillights have been upgraded to the 94+ lights by the previous owner which I love and there is an aftermarket intake under the hood. Otherwise the car is stock and runs well, I have yet to put in a sound system yet but it will be coming soon since the stock speakers just arent going to cut it. More updates coming as I fix it up to my liking...

Thanks for the kind words on my MR2. when I was looking into headlights for my MR2- I didnt even know of the REV6 kits- it wasnt until last year that I seen them and they do look like my kits. my lights cost the price of two sets of foglights, a pivot headlight controller and $3 in an aluminum bracket.. The lights are nothing more than two sets of 4" round foglights that I mounted within the headlight shrouds with a custom bracket made from 1" aluminum purchased from home depot. the hardest part was "ungrounding" the lights from each other so the high/low switch would work properly.. see, since both lights shared one of the brackets that I made- they were grounded to each other. I guess if I were to do it again, I would use another type of non-conductive composite for the center bracket.. but, back to the point- I ran them with the stock wiring and the inner set are the high beams. the high beams are ground activated so no matter what I did, both lights would be on- once I got that figured out- it was all good. to keep there height in the correct setting I picked up a pivot headlight controller and mounted it under the dimmer switch..
anyway, good luck with you car man. your car looks just like mine did when I first got it. if you can imagine it then you can do it! good luck

looks like you got yourself a nice project car. I would stick with a white color as long as your dedicated to keeping it clean. I'm working on getting mine repainted a fresh white, and if you can keep it glossy, it is beautiful. Check my 2 out if ya get a chance, peace.
