This is what we started with. A 1990 Ford Mustang LX with a bad 2.3L engine. We bought it for $125 from a junkyard in Taylorville, Illinois.

Here are some pictures of the car at Macon Speedway in 2005. It was at the 3rd Annual World Championship For Hornets on 9-24-05. We didn't make the feature but we did manage to rip the driver's side door off.

This is what the driver's side looks like now (now being 4-25-06). Gives you a good look at the protection the driver has.

This is the new door we picked up today (4-25-06). It is completely gutted and it basically just the skin.

Passenger side doesn't really have that much damage.....yet.

We picked up the head today (4-25-06). We had a new camshaft put in because the old one was worn. Also had the valves redone and new lifters and rockers just to be safe.

These are a couple pics of what would be the hatch area. We have a custom battery and fuel cell support. It also helps the car to stay rigid and not flex through the corners.
