RETURNING TO STOCK PART 1

 

My mustang GT is a 289 A code engine.It is Candyapple Red,with 1966 styled wheels with T/A radial 70's.I rebuilt the engine to stock except for the exhaust valves in may 2003.Exhaust is a H-pipe with Flowmaster 40's. The car is 90% stock.I have Custom auto sound USA66 with 2 3way 250 watts hidden in my interior quarter panels .I restored the interior this past may 2005. I realy enjoy driving and showing this car.I highly recommend wwww.vintage-mustang.com forum for great assistance.

My cars first car show. Had the car 3 weeks purchased 7/19/2003. I received a 1st place trophy. I knew I had a special car But.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before my repaint I took the car appart to prepare for paint.

The color will remain the same.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The car in the shop,quarters,entire trunk area,outer wheel housings,all replaced  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Ok now my quarters are on car $$. I kept to original sheetmetal Because,

 

 

 

Here my car is "Almost" ready for final paint.

 

 

 

 

 

WOO HOO its a GT, found my build sheet above headliner, and another around the wire harnes under dash. Both very legible. Again vintage-mustang.com forums assisted in it decoding. Thats a good reason to use original though expensive sheetmetal.

My car came home 11/17/06, at 5:30 pm est.2 months later and moving along.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Still tons of work to be done, like cleaning the entire underneath of car.

Here is my little helper "summer"
