Got this after my 1965 Valiant was totaled and it has been a running little machine since. Starting out as Pepe th Pod but will eventually be Pepe the Red. Almost everything is going red with a few accents of white and black. All plastic is being removed, cleaned and sprayed red with Krylon fusion but I still need to redo with a clear coat. The upholstery work is MINE! My first (passenger) and second (driver) efforts at re-upholstery and it did not come out too shabby. I made a few mistakes but you have to look for them. Have not done anything to the drive train but it does run like a top w/that lilttle 3-spd auto. Had to get that due to a bad left hip that keeps me from really enjoying a clutch. More pics to come. top is going white with an eventual checker stripe running across the back of the roof down the sides that will also encorporate the window tint by leaving a checkered cut out in the tint. Rims are white with a heavy Mar-Hyde rear coat. Don't know if I want the rear spoiler. Body damage is being dinged out and covered with aluminum diamond plate. I need to make it more visible due to TX drivers not being able to see over the hoods of thier SUV's. Also need to add air horns, any suggestions for mounting them? And does anybody need any seats recovered in Austin TX. I NEED WORK!
