LO-R1DA's 1997 Infiniti I30 Bronx, NY - 1

January 9th 2006:

Well I still dont have a pic, I truly apologize for that, but if anyone is actually taking the time to read this, there is much to report. The I has been slowly but surely receiving a major overhaul.

To date I have installed: a Cefiro Sports grille, FSTB, JWT Pop-charger Intake, 4g copper wire grounding kit w/ voltage stabilizer, complete custom stainless steel cat-back exhaust, lightweight underdrive crank pulley, a 403 Automatic Transmission Cooler, Tokico Illumina shocks w/ Eibach Prokit springs, and Brembo Cross-drilled rotors w/ Ceramic racing pads. I'm getting the ignition timing advance to 17 degrees at some point, when I do, I'll be sure to post this experience up for any i30 modding junkies. I hear its just a wave of the magic Nissan Consult II for our cars. Also... a variable intake manifold with new fuel injectors is coming this summer!

Overall I feel as though the Stage 1 performance upgrades on this car are about to be out of the way. Finally, I'm putting down 200hp to the pavement with ease :). But thats not enough, its never enough!

Looking at Stage 2 upgrades, I feel the best ones are going to be an S-AFCII air/fuel controller, a y-pipe to remove precats, and investing a few hours at a dyno shop. Then I'll have a valve body mod shift kit put in, for a lil extra gear crunching.

At that point, once my shift kit, variable intake, and headers, are securely installed, I should be looking at a 13.5 sec quarter mile on street tires. With a 0-60mph of approximately 5 seconds >:)

I think I'm going to start updating this page consistently, and I'm definitely getting a pic soon, so stay tuned!
