the story behind the car:
Used to be my uncles car, got in an accident with it, the body work was done and it ended up sitting at a bodyshop for 6 years. I of course started looking for a car when i got my licence, and this miata was suggested to me, with alot of TLC im sure itll end up lookin killer again.
The engine was replaced just before the accident with a blueprinted 1.6ltr 90's engine. ( a complete engine mod list will be added once i have time to go and check every part)
The car's suspension was modified with lowering springs (unsure of brand at this point)
The interior at this point is pretty beaten up, atleast one door panel must be replaced (most likley both). There is no carpet, the seats are junk, 90% of the interior panels are faded/scratched, there is no windshield nor rear window, ive only got one side view mirror, so basically im starting from scratch.

Work on the car has seized to a halt thanks to a siezed bolt (:P). The last thing remaining for the car to be saftied is having the alternator rebuilt... all that remains is one very annoying bolt completley rusted into the block holding the alternator in place. After 2 weeks of penetrating oil.. finally breaking the head of the bolt off... breaking an extraction tool and gashing my head open on the block i still havent been able to remove it... if worse comes to worse im going to have to pay a mechanic to remove it with a torch.

Up on jackstands

intake rad removed... you can see the broken head on the bottom of the alternator

yes im a total trunk monkey... i fit underneath my car where the rad used to be... that was my position for over an hour as i drilled out the bolt and eventually broke an extraction tool... smacking my head on the engine block in the process

Exams are finishing up now so i have time to work on the car. Alot has happened over winter time. The car runs now but the fuel tank has sludge all on the inside so i have the tedious job of cleaning it out so it doesnt gum up my fuel pump any more. Alternator is also seized so it will be getting rebuilt. Windshield and door panels should be installed within the next couple weeks and hopefully paint by the end of the month! I have decided to find velcro to hold the carpet down as the rear deck carpet will be being removed often.

Been a while since the last update. Finally got the premolded carpet set from ACC. Got the carpet test fitted, but due to being busy havent been able to totally line it up to begin cuttin for seat rails/seat bolts etc... (ill take a picture of the set out of the car once i send it off for paint)
