The left chamber will hold the carputer with its power supply.  The center chamber will hold the battery, power solenoid and fuse and the third chamber will hold the power distribution.

There is a rack mounted overhead behind the seats that will hold the processing.  There are 2-Audio Conrol EQT's and a 4XS.

Just about finished pics of the rear chambers.  These will now covered with clear plexiglass and accented with neon.  The computer area has the motherboard, 12 volt power supply, hard drive and shutdown controller.  The center chamber holds the rear battery(will eventually be a yellow top), Main 150A fuse and the rear system 200A solenoid which disconnects the rear power distribution from the front battery when the car is off.  The third chamber-which is not vented-has two 1 farad caps, the fuse blocks for the amps, front door solenoids and the computer power.  Also a 14 fuse block is mounted here for all the extra modifications like interior neon, the under car, hood release and hatch release, driving lights, igntion power, constant power, screens and rear screen actuator power etc.

The hard drive will be mounted directly to the side wall of the computer chamber sideways(left).  This direction was chosen on the advice from the many members of MP3CAR.com. The shutdown controller is mounted next to the hard drive.  This controller is designed to keep the computer from having to be shut off during frequent stops to the store.  From now on if i need to get out of the car and shut it off i no longer have to shut down the computer and wait for boot-up because it is now on a timed circuit.

Ventilation- Fresh air will be brought into the rear chambers through a series of 1-1/2" tubing mounted to the outside walls of the tire tub.  Fans will be used to increase air flow.

The first fan in the ventilation system is the inlet fan which introduces fresh air into the computer chamber. From there it goes through a center vent into the battery chamber.  From there all the bad air exits the vehicle via an exhaust fan mounted here.

Rear racks for the power solenoid and the 2 neon transformers.  Both racks will be lit with green neon and covered with clear plexiglass.

I started the fleece by connecting all the amp cabinets.  When finished, it will all be fiberglassed and bondoed.

The rear of the car is completely built. the green is the lexan with the backing on it.  The left enclosure holds the computer and power supply, the center has the battery and main fuse and the right enclosure contains the power distribution and fuses.  The 2 small enclosures hold the Stinger 200A solenoid on the right and the left side has the 2 neon tranformers. All enclosures are lit by green neon.  The center piece will raise and lower with the rear screen.  This MDF will be covered in vinyl after the bondo is shaped.

The whole rear of the car is now fleeced.

Late September...

The rear is now fiberglassed and mostly bondoed. I took everything down with 40 grit to shape it.  I have to fill in some spots.  The green plastic is the protective coat for the lexan.

I used kitty hair for added support around the amp enclosures and outer areas.  The wooden covers you see on some enclosures will be cut out and expose the amp heat sinks.  All amps will be covered.
